Spring is in the air

 SNEAK PREVIEW

Baby steps are better than giant leaps!?!  This journey has been amazing thus far and has proved to be best taken in baby steps.
This weekend brings us even closer to launching our first collection (which we hope will happen in the next two weeks).
At that time all of our loyal followers (you four know who your are) will be able to browse our etsy store and finally purchase from our beautius collection!
We are introducing our winter/spring line and anticipate our spring/summer collection to follow suit quite soon.
Spread the word that sisters' pickins is coming to life after many many months of makin' it happen!!!
There have been a lot of late nights, laughs and alcoholic beverages involved so far and we hope to have many more as we continue to bring you the diamonds in the rough.

PROGRESS ??????

Unloading and unpacking. . . the spread is here!!! we're sorting and sifting and starting to comes to grips with the fact that we have an insane amount of awesomeness in the house. The problem is, we want to be selective in our choosing for our first and introductory "collection" for the shop.

basement test shot. . . our make-shift studio begins to come alive!

after much thought, and many days of trial and error, we are kicking ourselves that we didn't stay with this ORIGINAL set up. The natural lighting was the best even with it's slight inconsistencies, but we are not willing to compromise and thought we could do better. . .

Obviously not!!!! Three long days of propping, planning and changing and we are at a total loss for our "great vision" of the perfect photo. It continues to elude us, although we do love this shot as it showcases our workspace and will someday be nostalgic of the early days.

We didn't necessarily mind this either, but again, we want to love our photos and be certain that our vision is being translated to the photos, because if not, the vision is lost.

Next step- we head to Philly to work with someone who actually knows how to use a camera. . . we figure this is our best shot at obtaining professional grade photos.

To be continued.........
